Xbox Kinect EA Active 2 Anyone?

Does anyone else have the Active 2 for the Xbox Kinect. I see how you can join a exercise group but not sure how to join one, add friends or make a group. If someone can explain this to me and would be a partner on there, it would be much appreciated. I have noticed i think, that i can only be in groups of have the kinect, Am I right on this assumption?
