Is that number calculated though this site? It's probably ballpark correct.0

1550 is exactly the amount you need to lose weight at the rate you told MFP you want to lose. If you eat more, you may lose a little slower, if you eat less, you may lose a little faster. Problem is, some people find that if they eat around 1200 for too long that their weightloss may actually stall. Some people stick to 1200 and lose weight consistently though. It's really very individual. If you find that your weightloss stalls, you may consider starting to eat that full 1550 or at least closer to it. Or you may consider allowing yourself a 'cheat' or high-calorie day every now and then where you allow yourself to go over that MFP goal. Some people find this works really well for making sure they don't hit a plateau, or for breaking out of one. Again, it's all very individual and you may or may not need to change anything at all.
BTW your diary is not open. It might possibly be open to friends, but it's not open to everyone. :-)0 -
Did they give you 1550 based on 1 lb per week or 2?
If it was 2 then EAT IT ALL, that's the largest deficit you should safely have without a doctor's supervision.
If it was 1, then you can sometimes go as low as 1200 a day but that is the MINIMUM, anything less than that (and it has to be GOOD food) and you won't get adequate nutrition.
And your diary is not open to the public so I have no idea if you are eating the correct foods for adequate nutrition.0 -
