I was just wondering, I have heard it alot...
" just eat slower, let your food settle and you wont eat as much"
i know if you consume healthier smart food, instead of junk, you can stay fuller longer, but does eating it slower help you eat less?
just wondering, and wanted your feed back! thanks!

Not necessarily that your food will settle, but because it takes the brain 20 minutes to receive the message from the stomach that it is full. Yes, eat slower and savor the flavor of the food and you will eat less.0 -
Eating more slowly keeps my acid reflux at bay0

I have noticed that because I am not eating as much, I eat slower. I'm savoring my food and I HAVE found that I feel full much quicker than I used to.
I used to be able to wolf down a plate of pasta, go back for more (and bread too of course!) and when it was all done, ten minutes later my stomach HURT because I had eaten wayyyy too much.
Now I take half of a regular serving that I used to eat, eat it slower (add a salad) and I will often not be able to finish or when I have finished I have the 'pleasantly full' rather than PAINFUL full feeling.
Hope this helps!0 -
the 20 minute rule is the truth. Eat slower, and you eat less. That is what I do. Take your time.0
