I am a hair designer, i completely agree with this person.
The only way to get hair color out is to bleach it out, and the store stuff does not work like you want it to.
Even if you go to a salon to get the color out, they'll have to bleach it. It'll look scary. There's color in the purple & red.

Look at that. The right side. If you don't like the purple or red (whichever you choose to put in your hair. You will want to bleach it to get it out. You'll have to bleach it multiple times to get the color all out. First it will be red, then red/orange, then orange gold, and so on up the chain. They'll have to keep bleaching until it's to a color level you'll want (shade of lightness/darkness) and then on top of it, you might need to have your hair toned (it it's too red, gold, etc after bleaching you'll have to put in a different color to get rid of it)0 -
I bought some at walmart one time. It worked. I was taking almost black hair color off ---that my HAIRDRESSER put in, it was suppose to be a milk chocolate brown. and she was too busy to fix it...anyway, I used the color remover and it worked just fine. It turns your hair a crazy orange color though. Be prepared. lol Once I had it washed and completely dry, I used the new color, that I also bought at walmart to re-color my hair the color i had originally asked for. And it turned out perfect. Just make sure you follow the directions0

same here I had a Live colour purple ultra violet or something in mine, it was really dark and purple lol. The remover didn't take it all out, it took 3 bottles, and did go a weird orange colour but it was enough for me to put a new colour on top nearer my natural hair. Although now I'm a flaming copper colour.0 -
Isn't bleach a good hair color remover?
*Kidding, don't really dunk your head in bleach ~
