Left ear becomes clogged whenever exercising

Options
Whenever I exercise, especially when I start doing anything where my body is jumping (such as jumping jacks or jogging) my left ear clogs up. It's been going on for years now, and it's so annoying. Anybody know what could be the problem?

Talk with your doctor and see an Ear Nose and Throat specialist. I don't have the issue when exercising but when lying down. Mine is caused by damage to my eustachian tube (between ear and sinus cavity) from very serious ear infection many years ago. Tube gets closed up because of swelling in sinuses and you get pressure in ear or sinus cavity. I have no idea why exercising would cause it but could speculate and throw out lots of ideas. You might try taking a sudafed before exercising or use a nasal spray which help stop or reduce swelling of sinus tissue. Be careful with that though as it can become slightly habit forming.

Yup! No one on any message board is going to be able to see into your ear and/or have the medical knowledge to tell you...

Im a chronic ear-related person.. as a matter of fact, my upper resp infection (sinusitis, bilateral otitis media, etc) is now progressing into a full blown infection - possibly bronchial infection...

Yup... Im a mess.. but the ENT's are the absolute best in determining if you have something internally going on...

    Ask your doctor.

If you are working extremely hard, like on the verge of passing out, or pooping yourself, its shock.
