Can polar HRM be "off?" I am asking because I just finshed working out to my step aerobics tape using a 10-inch bench height and I was DRENCHED in sweat, like I had just stepped out of a shower or a swimming pool. And according to my HRM, it only said I burned 369 calories?? It sure felt like I burned more than that based on how much I was drenched in sweat!! Has anyone else encountered this same problem?
Thanks!
Thanks!

Did you set your present weight? That can throw it off...0

funny... I have the same thing. It seems like it is slowly having me burn fewer and fewer calories... so I am going to try one work out this week where I set my weight back to where it was when I first got it and try to imitate a workout from then... we'll see.
The batteries are supposed to last for a long time, so I don't think that's what's wrong with mine.0 -
Don't forget that as you lose weight and become more fit, you won't burn as many calories. It's a bummer, but true.0

and as you do the same exercise (classes) your body gets used to the moves and doesn't have to work as hard doing the moves. Was it hot in the room? I think that makes a workout seem harder than it actually is too.0

Yes, all my info. was entered in. I guess as long as I was drenched in sweat, I guess I got an awesome workout then! I always consider any work-out awesome if I can get a good sweat going! That means I'm working! Thanks everyone for the comments and suggestions!0

I do know how you feel though. My trainer appointments are positively grueling. Even though they are only 30 minutes, I am drenched and practically crippled when I finish and I only burn 186.
Don't let that discourage you though....You are doing great and your burned calories are NOTHING to belittle.....that's quite a bit.0
