food cravings

Today is my 297th day on MFP. I have done better than I would have ever imagined. I have lost 70 pounds and I feel great about myself. I have reached my goal weight, but I cannot get the nerve up to change my setting to maintenance phase.
Recently I have been eating more than I have in a long time. I am still under my calories for the day, but I am eating back my exercise calories - which I did not do before. I find myself craving chocolate chip cookies at night time. I lay in bed thinking- oh, I will get some on Friday because Thursday is my weigh in day. I also think to myself, tomorrow morning I will stop by Dunkin Donuts and get a breakfast sandwich because I haven't had one in such a long time. Luckily, I just think about these foods and I don't give in to the temptations because when I wake up, I realize that I don't need these things. I am so worried that I will get back into my old habits and gain my weight back.
Does this happen to anyone else, and any advice on how to stop thinking about food????

Unfortunately, you'll probably never be able to stop thinking about food. But the fact that you check yourself on it and you don't give into the thoughts and temptations is a tremendous indication of how much you've changed and progressed. Keep that up! And every once in a while, have that cookie or breakfast sandwich. Repeat... every once in a while.0
