So I neeeeed to start getting up early to workout, I already go to bed early at night but I can't seem to get myself up. I'm so mad at myself because I never had a problem with this before, I used to wake up early everyday when it was hot, it's much harder when your in your warm bed! Any tips would be awesome thanks

I go to a Boot Camp class Mon, Wed and Fri at 6:00 am, so I get up at 5:00 a.m. I LOVE the class and look forward to getting up. Doing something that is fun and where there are other people tend to make you more accountable for showing up. Is it possible to do a class or meet someone early?0

O I wish! My gym is the one at my school, and classes don't start until later in the afternoon but maybe I will meet my friend at the gym she goes early, thanks!0

your bod has its own clock and to reset it takes some effort and time....once you get up at a new hour for awhile, it will become automatic...set the alarm clock out of reach so you have to get out of bed to reach it then get in the bathroom and splash water on your face and then DO IT0

It is hard to get up. I started 3 weeks ago, getting up at 4:45 to do Jillian Michaels 30 day shred. It is only 20 minutes but its tough. I keep telling my self...only 20 min, only 20 min. It helps me get through it , kind of like a mantra. Plus my friend across town is doing it too at the same time. I think of her doing the same thing. It really helps me. It is the first program I've actually continued!0

I hear ya! Wish I could offer you some helpful suggestions, but I can't get my butt out of bed either:grumble:0

It is definately easier to get up when you need to ,like, for work. I go in at 6:30am so 4:45 isn't that bad...but come the weekend. UGH...no way...I try to do them later or just walk instead.0

I'm doing P90X doubles so I do Cardio X three times per week at 3:45am before I leave for work. I'm a light sleeper so that helps. That and our 9 four legged friends meowing for breakfast. :bigsmile:0

I find a couple things really help to get my butt moving in the morning...
1. set out workout clothes, socks, shoes and ipod at night before I go to bed so it's all ready in the morning.
2. set my alarm a couple mins early then I want to wake up, so if I move a little slow I don't lose valuable workout time.
3. Find a workout buddy to call you and wake you up, or if you make a date to work out with someone in the morning you will get up b/c you don't want to stand them up!
4. make a new workout playlist the night before(this is my fav! I find I'm so excited to wake up and listen to my play list(I'm super into Lady Gaga "Just Dance" to do cardio too!)
5. I set my coffee pot to go off a couple mins before my alarm...I wake up to the smell of fresh coffee and it feels great(I drink it after I work out though).
6. then as a reward, if I do the workout in the AM, I will reward myself with a fresh berry smoothie!!!
hope these help a little! xxoo
ps...make sure to try to get 8hrs sleep0
