Frustrated

I was supposed to do my Biggest Loser workouts today, but my neighbor showed up, and then I left to get something for my 17mo and I to eat, and I got home in time for my other 2 kids to get off of the bus. Then it was homework, and being the referee, and hubby coming home asking what's for dinner and could I fold the laundry? Then it was making dinner, and now I have a few minutes to post a topic about how I'm frustrated because I couldn't get my workout in today. Is it bad to workout late at night? Does anyone have the problem of not being able to work it in because you're taking care of kids and husbands/wives and cleaning the house and doing everything else under the sun? I have been looking forward to working out because I know how good I feel afterwards, but I can't seem to find the time...:frown:

1. Why did you have to leave to get food for you and your kiddo? Have stuff readily available to eat so you don't have to spend time going out to eat.
2. If the neighbor showed while it was YOUR time to work out, don't answer the door.0 -
Totally work out late at night. I used to only go to the gym at 10pm. You'll find contradicting info on the whole sleeping thing (if you'll be able to fall asleep after, or if you'll be all revved up), but I always fell into the category of falling asleep GREAT after working out late at night. It gives your body a clear signal of being active, & then being time to rest. It works out better than sitting on the couch for an hour & then going to bed... how is your body supposed to know the difference, aside from your eyes being shut now? I think it feels great to not have the guilt of hubby taking care of the kids, either, since they're in bed. Hubby gets some alone time at home, which I think he appreciates sometimes, to have the peace.
It is totally hard to get in workouts during the day working around everyone. I work it out with my hubby the night before, usually waking up early & doing it before he goes to work. Win-win, because then he gets kids breakfast & stuff done while I'm gone.0 -
Girlfriend, I feel the frustration. And you know me, you probably already know what I'm going to say - either do your workout right after the boys go to school, or do it when the LO is napping or in the highchair. my favorite is when my little man Jacob is napping, that way I don't have to worry about what he's getting into.
Working out in the evening works okay for some people, but others find it makes it hard to wind down for bed. my best advice is do your best to get it done while the boys are GONE and when M is occupied with food or sleep. Take that free time and make it YOURS. YOU DESERVE IT. :-)0
