I lost 30 lbs over just about two months by running for 30 mins and lifting weights for 30 mins each day and sticking to my calorie goal. Christmas came and I ended up having to cover a lot of overtime. I let this drastic schedule change and added fatigue derail my lifestyle to where I have basically been on a two and a half week binge. I have only gained about 8 pounds back but need to stop daily binging now. I realize 8 pounds can be shed as fast as it came on, and I plan on it. Logging is so important, it was when I quit logging that I started cheating little by little till I found myself back to my old ways. I have taken some photos and will use them as a motivational tool going forward. I also found that the same training schedule starts to get boring and it will be very important to go back to the drawing board at the start of each new month and change what I'm doing in the gym. Another thing I learned about myself is that low calorie protein sources suppress appetite more than anything else, and even one serving of processed carbs can be a difficult mental battle to "stop at one". I think restricting too much was one mistake I made which also contributed to binging. Planning is key. Packaging items such as mixed nuts and raisins will eliminate dangerous handful eating. Here I go again, any feedback is welcome.
