I have a young son. 9 years old who of course is very active and I want to participate more. With 60 pounds to loose it's a long road ahead. I have all the excuses I need not to loose weight (I work online, sit all day, like food...) but I'm looking to loose those pounds and keep them off this time. At 51 I've tried every diet in the book, nothing sticks. Finally gave up on the trends and decided to stick to logic. If you're energy intake is larger then your usage... you know what happens.

I'm looking for support, I obviously cannot do this on my own.

Thanks
Max

  • Hey Max, welcome to MFP. I've got the same kind of job. Where my butt's planted to a chair, or car seat all day. Friend request coming your way.

Your butt may be stuck in a chair, but the food choices you make are all yours. You are here and ready to make a change in your life and that is a huge step. Give this program a chance to work, because it does. You just have to want it bad enough. Every time you look at your son should be re-enforcement enough to keep you going. You will do great here, you just have to believe.

I'm 57 and have 12 and 4 year old girls, and a 4 month old boy. I've lost about 30 lbs already, and have about another 25-30 to go.
    You can do this!
And the rewards are well worth it. Friend request coming your way..
