Incentive jeans?

Who has a pair? I want to buy some, but I'm not sure how many sizes down I should buy. What do you guys suggest? I mean I don't want to buy a pair that I'm probably not gonna fit into for MONTHS, so maybe I'll end up buying a pair few sizes down, and then when I fit into those, I can buy another pair. Also, did you guys splurge on a really cute, expensive pair? I only work 30 hours a week, and have credit card bills, a phone bill, insurance, and rent to pay, so I don't have a lot of extra money after pay day. I guess it probably doesn't matter how much they cost, just as long as I work towards fitting into them!

Personally, I wouldn't get incentive jeans, but that's more because I have to try on about 15 pairs to find just a couple that I like the fit of. I did buy a couple of pencil skirts that I thought were absolutely adorable, but didn't fit. They were cheap (2 were goodwill buys & one was Target clearance) & knee length pencil skirts flatter every woman, so I knew they'd work out. Even if they didn't, I'm out a whole $15.00. After losing 25lbs, I can zip them but they are still tighter around the tummy & hips than I want them to be so I'll try them on when I've lost some more.
Something I have done for myself is that I've planned rewards for my mini goals (that way I can save for them & work towards them). When I hit the 30lb mark, I get a Kindle Fire; after the next 30, a spa day with cut & color; the last 30 is when I'll get to have my all out wardrobe shopping spree. Hope this helps.0 -
I have like 8 pairs of jeans that I could fit into when I weighed from 180 to 200 so they are my incentive jeans. I have 3 pairs that I fit into 205 to 230 and like 1 or 2 for right now 240 to 245. I also have a pair of nike basketball pants that i wore when I weighed 160 and I put them on the other day and it hurt but I got them on..they use to be loose so if they fit then I will know I have accomplished a goal.0

<<<<<<Just bought them and a couple more (didn't buy them til they fit)
Size 27 Paige denim and Joe jeans plus a Size 28 True Religion!! Nothing better then having them slide up your legs, over your butt, zip and button with ease and NO muffin top!!!
You can do it :flowerforyou:0 -
I have size 6 jeans that are so old I probably wouldn't wear them if I actually got back down to that size, but I do keep them around to gauge how close I am. If I ever make it, I'll buy new jeans!
As far as buying a pair, unless you have very little to lose I'd say go somewhere in the middle of where you want to be. You want something that you're actually going to be able to fit into within a reasonable amount of time, and if you're losing a decent amount you'll want at least one "inbetween" pair for when your old ones are way too big but your ideal size is still too small.0
