birth control and weight side effects?

I wonder if it's true - that you do have an "initial" weight gain on a birth control pill that ends up coming off / you're able to lose it after your body gets adjusted. Any thoughts?

I've "gained" 3 pounds. I weigh myself more than once a month on occasion but I don't ever count it especially cause it was TOM. Now it's official. 3 pound gain. I have been exercising. Measurements have become smaller and my clothes fit more loose. My boobs have become bigger. So maybe it's true? any suggestions, comments, etc?

It's a tad bit frustrating. I don't know if I'm just at my weight set point or ..if this is possible.
