I'm recovering from anorexia. It's hard. But I'm going and that's not what I'm asking about.

What I'm wondering is, who should I tell? My parents know, none of my friends do. In fact, last week one of my guy friends was ranting about "starving girls" and told me how glad he was that I wasn't like that.

After I told my parents things started to actually get easier in my recovery, which seems weird but it's what happened. I can eat more now than I did before...like the guilt of so much lying is gone? Maybe.

So do you think it would help me to tell my friends, sister, boss, etc? Not necessarily ask for help; with my parents and doctor i have it under control I think. But just inform them?

I would tell whoever you think it necessary to aid in your recovery. Tell those closest to you that will be willing to help you through it. I've never been in your shoes before from an eating standpoint but with other aspects of my life I have found it is helpful to open up to people you trust.
