My feet and ankles hurt

Pals, I need some advise. I was at work on Tuesday and desperately needed to get out of the office for a while so I took a walk, in my dress shoes (flats), and ended up walking for 1 mile. Since my less the brilliant decision to walk in my dress shoes on Tuesday, the tops of my toes/feet/ankles ache like crazy, any suggestions how to ease the discomfort?
I've tried all the stretches I know.

I'm going to venture a guess that the flats have little to no arch support, so the walk put a lot of stress across your arch, when your sneakers usually support them fully. If you can't wear sneakers to work for a couple days, find a pair of dressy shoes that at least have arch support and avoid the flats for a few days.0
