My protein goal is set at 150 grams according to MFP. No one else's protein goal in the food diaries that I've looked at even comes close to this number, why is that? I'm currently making changes to up my intake of protein without having to consume 3000+ calories, but it doesn't look like it's going to easy.

  • Protein Shakes, chicken breasts and canned tuna are a great way of getting low-calorie high sources of protein, averaging around 100-190 calories a piece.

I have my protein goal that high as well, however as I'm not trying to lose weight, I don't log my food. I have a general idea of how I need to set up my meals to get around 150 grams of protein a day however (I personally follow paleo). I eat the majority of my calories from protein and fat, and around 100-130 carbs a day on average.

Mine is set to the default, but I aim for 270grams a day, so seeing it in the red makes me happy.
I usually eat less than 3000 calories. My diary is public, you can scroll through and see what I eat to get there.

Mine is set to 40 or 45% so about 220 grams per day on average.

You can change that in the settings.....I did that for mine as my MFP goal stated only like 120 or something. Now I try to consume between 225 - 280

I usually consume 2200-2600 calories a day depending on exercise. My protein is never below 150g, usually around 170-190g on average.
Protein shakes are great for getting extra in. I usually have 2 a day (48g protein for 240 calories)

Feel free to have a look at my diary (it's public) if you need ideas for foods.
