I would start the group myself but I am an extreme Newby to GAPS and still learning. I am on day 4 of intro and really could use a buddy or two.. anyone out there been doing GAPS for a while that's willing to lead and take me under their wing so to speak..:flowerforyou:

Bump...
We are doing research on this to see if this might be beneficial for our son (he has some health issues/challenges), but we aren't ready to take the dive yet.1 -
At the moment I am the only in the family doing gaps into I need to heal my gut in the worst way. but I think it will also help at least half of our kids that have allergies, food sensitities and epilepsy.. respectively..Bump...

Diet targeted to heal the digestive system which in turn could help with other health issues. Most notably endorsed to ease the symptoms of autoimmune diseases and autism.0 -
My best friend and I just started GAPS with our families four days ago. We spent months researching and preparing for this diet. I feel like we know a good amount for newbies and I would love to join a group if it is started. Support in this adventure should be mandatory. It's hard work!0

Would love to join a group if started, have been doing some research and while eating traditional foods, have not yet started Gaps, but need to.0

This is the best summary of GAPS that I have come across in all my digging. http://www.butterbelle.ca/gaps/gaps-diet-progress-report-8-weeks/0

My naturopath wants me to do the GAPS diet for 18 days (intro phase) as a detox. She said is a good way to start healing the body systems. I'm starting Monday and spending the weekend making bone broth. I would totally be interested in joining a group.0

THANK YOU! That was exactly what I needed. I was getting very confused.0 -
It can be sooo confusing sometimes. Some things are not clear cut. We are following to a T but there is a little room to wiggle. If you have not started yet I will share this, The first week that I prepped and then the first four days on the intro I was litterally cooking for hours everyday to get ready. We were (DH and I) consuming 3 quarts of broth a day in soups each. We were so used to eating so much (carbs especially) that we were starving for the first few days. After that things have tapered off (whew) and I am not living in the kitchen so much anymore. So if that happens to you, dont panic. It will get easier. Good Luck! Keep us posted on how you are doing!0
