How do I do this?

I am fairly new to MFP and was wondering, is there a way to compare the all the foods you have eaten during the day across the board. I see that you can compare some basic facts about the foods like calorie, fat, etc but I would like to compare the sugars in all my foods or fiber. For example, I normally go over my daily suggested sugar quota. I would like to see which foods contributed to me going over, or which foods I need to replace because they have so much more sugar than others. On my phone, I can see how eating certain foods adds to my daily quota for sugar or fiber and how much I have left to consume but I cannot see that on the computer? On the computer, I can see each of my day's foods specifically compared in a grid which is perfect but it only compares calories, carbs, fat, and protein. So both tools, phone and computer, is slightly lacking. Any advice?

you can add on more info to you diary :) go to the Food tab, and select Settings. there you can change nutrients tracked ...you can have up to 5 i think? sugar and fiber are some of the choices

There is a phone app called Fooducate that compares specific foods to each other. That might be more of what you're looking for.

Perfect! Thank you very much!! Does fooducate link to what you have already entered into mfp?

fooducate has nothing to do with MFP - its a separate app to help you make better choices at the grocery store.

On the topic of sugar. If your sugar is coming from fruit, then don't worry about it too too much. You would only have to worry heavily about sugar if you were diabetic or were doing some heavy duty weight training.
