You're linking the album, not the specific picture.

You have to put the IMG to lower case img.
  • Why ?
  • That's a great idea :0)

    I shouldn't post a picture of my workplace :(

But I work for my BIL and approached him about creating a stand up work station. He built a custom height box shelf on top of my existing desk so if I leave or switch offices, someone else can just take it off and use it as a sit down desk again. I love my stand up desk and wish I had done it sooner. But people think I'm very eccentric now for it.

I LOVE mine. I have wanted to get one for years and we relocated for my husband's job a few months ago so now I work from home. I'm up to 10 miles per day in addition to my morning elliptical at the gym. It's sort of an experiement to see how it impacts my weight loss. I'm really trying to get into a lifestyle habit and it's such a great thing as I'm winding down (like now) to know that I've basically done a half marathon when I include the gym.

What has suprised me the most is that I have MORE energy at the end of the day, not less. If you can do it, I highly recommend it.

It's a treadmill :) The big thingy on the left on my desk controls it.
  • Now that is one sweet set up. I wish I had something like that at my office.

www.treaddesk.com - does that violate advertising or anything? It's great. You can also get a "trekdesk" from Amazon. My only complaint about my desk was that it was on backorder and took a few months to get to me. I love it now though. I talk on the phone at 2.0mph and nobody can tell!

Here I am on the treadmill desk at the office, I'm trying to get a minimum of two hours a day on it at 1MPH, I'll never go back to sitting all day

I am really surprised that people do this, it seems so strange! I don't have an office job tho...If i had a pedometerit would be interesting to see how many steps I take in a day, I spend most of it on my feet.

isnt it stranger to sit in a chair for 10 hours straight?

I really like it, especially because it's flat to the ground. Also, most treadmills with the exception of gym treadmills, are not designed to be used at for several hours a day and this was designed for that. When I got it, the sensor had issues but they sent me a new one right away. I HIGHLY recommend the "desk" part of the treaddesk if you can afford it. It's 60" wide and so easy to press a button to go up and down.

Let's keep in touch on how we both progress on these and anyone else who does one, would love to know how it's working out for you!
