I started MFP on May 25, 2011 at 236 lbs. This is the best fat picture i have.

This is a picture of me at my first 5K race on 9/3/2011. I ran this 5K in 27:45, my current 5K time is 23:14 and I just ran a 10K in 47:26. I weighed in around 185 lbs.

This is a picture of me at 170 lbs with my 3 month old son.

I weighed in this morning at 165.4 lbs. MFP really did help me in my weight lost journey. Allowing me to track my calorie intake and calorie outake really assisted me in becoming a healthier person. Now I'm training for my first Half Ironman in September. Good luck to everyone in their weight lost journey! Daniel

    Great job!

How is the baby connected to this? You don't look pregnant in the first photo so I doubt that having the baby helped your weight loss. :-)

Thanks for sharing. I've lost 30lbs so far and I feel like I couldn't possibly lose any more (even though I still need to lose 40lbs more this is the most weight I have ever lost) so your story has inspired me to keep going. I used to love running and fantasize about running again and thanks to your story I know I will do it again one day. :flowerforyou:

You look wonderful, and your son if ridiculously adorable. (And I don't even really like kids, so if I compliment your kid, they really are especially cute!)
  • You look fantastic, great job! If you don't mind me asking how did you train for the 10k? You cut a lot of time off from your 5k to the 10k! I'm running at 10k at the end of March & right now I'm running similar 5k times.. I'm looking to get my time down for the race! Thanks!!
  • you look GREAT!!! fantastic effort, keep up the good work. My aim is to be able to run also. PS: your son is soooo cute!!
