Does eating below my goal one day allow me to eat that many

HI folks,

I'm kind of new to the whole calorie counting technique, and I have a question: does eating below my goal one day allow me to eat that many calories above it the next day? I was thinking about having a light dinner tonight, netting below my goal, so I could go out and have a few drinks tomorrow night. Does that work and/or make sense?

Thanks,

Mrazek

I'd say NO if I'm thinking that your body will get what it needs to fill in the gaps from the previous day (if there are any) and then store the rest in fat. Probably YES but depends how much you go above. The are many many factors involved in how body manages the incoming energy. As in anything the moderation is the key. Definitely eating a 5000 calories in 1 meal because you saved in the last 10 days would lead to fat storage if you're not an elite athlete.
Bottom line. One monster meal won't do that much harm but several yes.
Back to your direct question. As far As I read about it, alcohol works in mysterious ways. :):)
