Hi all,

My name is Emily and I'm 34. A few months ago I moved for my husband's job and I now work from home. I decided to make a lifestyle change this year inspired by my dad who lost 70 pounds last year. Over the past 10 years, my weight has been a struggle and it's gone up slowly, about 5-10 pounds each year. I had almost given up, but 3 weeks ago I started moving my life back in the right direction.

I have a "treaddesk" and I've been walking while I work! At first, it was a challenge, and if people saw me they'd probably say it looked funny but I am now hooked. I've also been using myfitnesspal to track my calories and the weight is coming off. I want to be as fit as possible because I hope to start a family soon.

I look forward to making some friends here!

Emily

Welcome to MFP!! Great idea to make a treaddesk! You might have just invented something :)

I've seen tread desks before. I wish they would get them at work, but they're a little expensive for our cost centers. I think it's great that you have one, though, and in the comfort of your own home is even better.

I'm just starting my journey too and I wish you the same luck I wish for myself.

    Thanks guys!

I have thought for years this would be a good idea, but someone in Indiana beat me to it :) I'll add you both!
