Losing 40 lbs in one month? Ha...

Okay, today at lunch I asked a buddy of mine why he didn't eat lunch (I didn't either lol) because we were both in the lab studying, and he went on belittling food, basically saying "lol food pfffff what a waste". I told him that he shouldn't eat too few calories (he said he only had a small bowl of cereal this morning) and apparently he only ate 700 calories daily for a month and lost 40 lbs....I told him that a lot of it was probably muscle, and he snorted and asked "What muscle?" I think his dramatic weight drop was overestimated...but I really don't know. I don't even know why I'm posting this, but I had a battle in my mind on whether or not to try eating so few calories, if I really got results like that....I decided not to. He can do what he wants, but that is half of what I would eat in a day, and I wouldn't want to live off 700 calories a day as a lifestyle...this isn't a competition about who can lose the most in the shortest amount of time or eat the fewest calories. I must admit, he looks great right now, but nope not going to do that. The number the scale shows isn't everything....what DOES matter is how I feel and how my clothes fit. Just had to get this incident out there I guess...sorry for boring you. :I
