Does anyone have any easy mfp entry friendly meals for a 40/30/30 meal plan? I mean simple! Lunches and dinners especially. No fancy recipes or anything, just as simple as possible would be really great! Trying to figure this out is exhausting! Thanks!

And I just realized I was figuring out based on grams not on % of total calories....WAAAAAAAA :(. There has to be an easy way to do this.

I try to just focus on hitting the carb number for the entire day. When I start getting to my goal carbs for the day.... I switch to vegetable carbs instead of the brown rice, rolled oats, sweet potatoe, etc.... Protein and fat aren't really the enemy.... It's the carbs that will kill you.
  • I'm on 40/40/20, feel free to friend me for my dinners, be warned lunch is subway 6 days a week. Tonight I had chicken lo mein for dinner, 6 oz chicken, 1/2 bag frozen california veggies, 2 oz pasta, 1/4 cup teriyaki baste, cook the chicken, and pasta- during last 4 minutes of cooking pasta add the veggies, add sauce, nom, nom nom! Extremely low fat, high protein and just the right amount of carbs :)

Do you have the mobile app? If so, there is a pie chart that provides you with your macros % breakdown throughout the day. This has helped me stay at 50/25/25 for my training :-) For iPhone, on the home page, select Daily from above your calorie breakdown. Then select the pie chart picture in the upper right. It may be similar for Droid, cannot remember though!

I have mine set that way. I pretty much try to eat any breads/grains or fruit early in the day. Eat some form of protein at every snack or meal. I don't often hit the fat goal unless I work at it. If you want to figure out the calorie allowance, just multiply the carb and protein grams by 4, and the fat grams by 9. Give it a few weeks, you will catch on.
