I turned it around

A week ago I posted a topic asking for help, because I was working out a lot and eating ok but not losing any weight. Some of you may have seen it.
There was a lot of advice in the thread, some of it more useful than others, but it all boiled down to me realising 3 things:
- Due to MFP overestimating my exercise calories, when I ate them back I ended up overeating
- I was allowing myself far too many treat days, far too often
- I wasn't doing enough cardio, not anywhere near enough. All my workouts were weight lifting.
So I turned it around:
- I changed my gym routine so I'm still hitting the weights, but I've dramatically upped my cardio too.
- I've started logging much more strictly and not allowing my "treats" almost every day.
- I'm now logging my exercise calories more accurately, and no longer eat them back.
I lost 7lbs in a week.
7lbs in a week!
Suddenly I don't know why I was struggling before. It all seems so obvious now but a week ago I was so lost in information that I couldn't see the wood for the trees. Now the weight is flying off. 7lbs a week is obviously not sustainable, the loss will no doubt slow down, but as long as it keeps coming off I'm still happy.
Thanks to all the MFPers that gave good advice in that thread. I couldn't have done it without you!
At this rate I'll hit my goals in no time.

Hopefully I'll be able to give many more follow ups, as 7lbs turns into 14lbs, then 21lbs, 28lbs ....
