Need strength exercise ideas

It's been awhile since I was active in strength training on a daily basis. I am 17 months post-op from an open tib/fib (basically I shattered both shafts of my tibia and fibula and my distal tibia in my right leg). I have limited range of motion in my ankle that does not allow me to walk downstairs, jog/run, lunges, squats etc... Sometimes it feels like I have a peg leg from the thigh down!
I just started using the elliptical and stationary bike. I am going to try and jump rope to work on getting my 'bounce' back. Besides planks, leg lifts, situps, pushups, crunches etc... what else can I do? I have a resistance band that I will start using to do exercises like rear kicks and cross leg swings. I just keep thinking there is more I can do.
Any help is greatly appreciated!

I don't know how possible it is but maybe see a personal trainer for a session or two and they can show you some new moves? I used to love Body Pump classes (and will be finding a new gym soon) but not sure how good they would be for you x0
