i'm so happy that i convinced a lady at work who ALWAYS comes in with her iced coffee from Starbucks to purchase a reusable tumbler cup. she was a bit apprehensive at first because she didn't want to wash the straw everyday and i told her to just get a clean straw everytime from Starbucks-- duh! lol. now she comes in with her Starbucks tumbler cup with iced coffee :D saving the world one person at a time!

so, if you must get your coffee from a caffee shop every morning, make sure to have your reuseable cup/mug/thermos :flowerforyou:

Same goes with water bottles! If you need to drink bottled water (and I am one of those people) please buy it in bulk and refill your daily water bottles.

As a Prius driving, own-shopping-bag-bringing, composting, recycling, San Franciscan stereotype, I'm with you. But please read:

I'm still on the hunt for glass bottles with plastic lids. I want to prefill them with filtered water and take them with me to work.

I wouldn't recommend this. Even a few refill can leech nasty toxins out.

Get yourself a BPA free metal or plastic refillable bottle instead.

How arrogant can a person be to assume that anything they do can actually effect nature?

Sure, the mountains and oceans were created all by themselves, but if I leave my Suburban idiling in the driveway or use some hairspray I'm going to F up the delicate balance.

I have a BPA free metal water bottle and I use it everyday...I hate the idea of using plastic water bottles... All that clutter in my trashbag no thanks.
