eye question

I have been having alot of pain in my eyes. They sting. They get red at times. Sometimes they are watery.

I've been using medicated drops I got over the counter but no relief.

Would you go to the eye doctor or regular physician? I have been having some ear pressure which makes me think it could be sinus related.

My eyes were red from alergies and I bought some Visine for that. Big mistake. I used it almost daily for about 8 months and then noticed that they were getting worse. So bad that people would ask what was wrong with my eyes. I went to the eye doctor who told me that Visine (and other similar drops) if used over a long period of time will make your eyes red and sometimes the damage is irreversible. It's called Visine rebound, you can look it up. Anyway I stopped using it about 6 months ago and they are much better but not as clear as I would like. Hopefully in time they will improve. Who knew that drops to get rid of the red would make it worse...

Because of the ear pressure I would say go to a regular physician, best of luck!
