My diary is public and I'm interested in any and all feedback about my diet.

My goal is to have an excellent, sustainable diet for long-term health. I've been tweaking it little by little for some time.

I'm very happy with my body as it is now and am not currently interested in losing weight or changing my body shape.

Many of my MFP friends have been kind enough to give lots of suggestions so far. I've considered all of them and many I've adopted. It has been very helpful for me too look at their diaries. I hope I've been able to help someone else also.

Any suggestions?

I think the layout that you are using, with the meals set up as food groups, is really cool. What a great way to eyeball your nutrient balance.

Are you getting your minimum 4 servings of veggies? They look a little light.

Do you feel like you are getting enough variety? (Some people like variety, some like to just eat the same things. It's a personal thing.)

It looks to me like you are eating lots of good whole foods in a pretty good balance. Good job.

Are you a vegetarian? I ask because you have absolutely no healthy proteins at all except the occasional peanutbutter... I did see Tuna, salmon, maybe once or twice.

You defintely are not taking in enough vegetables... You definitely do not have enough proteins...

Consider more vegetables over your fruits.. even too much fruit can be counterproductive because of the natural sugars present.

Men have more of a caloric/nutritional need and I just dont see enough of the protein and vegetables to be very honest...

Seafood is great dont get me wrong, but its only part of the protein equation....

WOW... yeah, just saw your profile.. if you are the hiker and runner.. you DEFINITELY need protein and the healthy carbs coming from vegetables....

Thanks for the feedback so far. :) To get a more accurate picture of what I eat, it may help to look at more that a couple of days in my diary as I have about 80 days of history. I know I eat meat sparingly but sometimes people don't see the meat that I eat as it is sometimes listed at the bottom in the "other" section.

Actually looked alot further than a couple days....

One of the things I worked hard to change was my vegetable intake. I have 4+ servings every day since Jan. 1. How many servings of vegetables should a person have each day?

There are some days you didnt consume 4+.... I dont see enough protein at all to be honest.... If you are an active athlete with the hiking and running, you definitely need to amp up the healthy carbs and definitely proteins....

Men have more dietary needs, even more so for very active/athletic type folks...

Can you help me better count my vegetable servings? What is the correct way to count them? When I count them according to the labels I see about 4 servings or more each day. What am I doing wrong?
