Tracking workouts

Hi! I'm new to myfitnesspal (or at least new to actually using it), and I can't figure out how to track calories I counted using a heart rate monitor. Do you just pick random cardio and change the amount of time to get the number of calories you actually burned? I met with my trainer and it was a mix of weights of cardio and I have no idea how to track it. Thanks!
