Hi everyone, I am new here and have been using this site for a week or so now- and absolutely loving it !!!! I am not one to understand calorie counting and all that other stuff so to be able to just put my daily food/exercise intake in here and let it do all the work for me is amazing !!...and motivating at the end of the day where it calculates how much you'd lose based on that daily intake !!! :O) Which brings me to the clarification Im seeking ....
With the daily goals/limits on the FoodTracking (Calories/Fat/Protein etc) , is this based on what I want my goal weight to be ?? I remember when I signed up I entered how much I plan to lose (22kg and now 20kg to go!), but I am a bit confused if the calculations are designed to help me lose weight or maintain the weight I'm at ...
I'm having trouble explaining myself here! I hope someone can give me some insight, it will be most appreciated !!
Basically what Im getting at is, it would be great if the 'Food Tracking' is designed to ensure you dont go over your daily intake resulting in weight loss , and Im thinking that already is the case because since using this site I have been able to track what calories and fats are going into my body and have therefore, lost 2kg !!! YAY! But I need to understand this better....
Thanks so kindly and best of luck to everyone on their healthy challenge, it's so worth it ! LIVE.LOVE.LAUGH

It's much clearer on the phone app! When you've finished logging in your daily total it tells you've eaten too much or not enough and also how much you will lose over 5 weeks if 'every day was like today'. So the calorie goal you're given is aimed at you losing weight at 1 and a half pounds or two pounds a week which is the healthiest way to do it. Hope this helps.0

Yes it does thank you so much :O) and cute pic of the kitty by the way !! What are your goals ??
Myfitness Plan reccommends I aim at losing 1pound a week which is only .5kg .... I was tempted to increase to 1.5pound but will re-consider after a month or two as don't want to burn out while Im still getting motivated and learning consistency with this new life-lasting change !!!!

That's our fat cat Jack! He could do with a diet!
I need to lose 50 lbs which is 22.6 kg. Long way to go! But you're sensible to aim to lose slowly because then it stays off. Actually you'll probably lose more, especially to begin with. What is your goal? You look great in your photo, I can't imagine you have lots to lose.0 -
Sorry, shouuldhave said my goal is 10 st 2 which is 142 lbs but realistically I don't think I'll go below 150 lbs (hopefully!)0
