Suggestions for something to use instead of wine?

I am thinking of making a sausage and pepper and onion meal sometime this week, but all the recipes I find online call for wine... I don't drink wine, I don't really like the taste and I feel it'd be a waste of money to buy a bottle for one recipe... do any of you make this dish and know what I can use instead of it?

    You can either buy cooking wine, I just store in in the fridge between uses. Or sub a broth/balsamic vinegar mix, you could do just broth but the vinegar gives it alittle more depth of flavor like the wine would.
