Full fat vs low fat creamy pasta dishes

I just did an interesting analysis - I am trying to get into the habit of using the 'recipe' function for nightly meals as I realised they were A LOT more calorific than I first thought, and this was contributing to my plateau's...SO I entered the traditional 'full fat' (ie cream based) pasta primavera recipe and compared this with a low fat (using skinny evaporated milk) - the 'low fat' version had more calories per serve when made following the recipe than the full fat version. I was most surprised! *amount of pasta was the same in each recipe* I know that ppl may follow/track different macro nutrients, but for me it is all about the calories so it was a bit of a point of interest.
All in all, this has just been a lesson in watching those sneaky calories, and being food aware - there are of course many other pasta dishes with much fewer calories than the ones I entered...
Has anyone come across other areas where the 'low fat' was more calorific than the full fat alternative?
