Curse of Curves

I have kind of an awkward dilemma, but I was wondering if anyone could answer this question. :blushing: I don't really think that I am fat, I am just extremely curvy for my size. I have a really small waist, but large hips and thighs and a D cup. My problem is that every time I try to lose weight, all that happens is my breasts shrink...which is really not what I'm going for. I've heard that there is no way to target specific areas for weight loss, that it just happens as it happens. Is this true, or is there something I can be doing that will make the fat leave other areas first? :blushing:

    You can't target fat loss.
You can tone certain areas more than others....but fat loss is an all over process.
    Like... peeling off layers.

I've heard of working chest muscles.... it won't stop you from losing cup size but it will build the pec muscles under the breast tissue.

Let me say that I feel your pain, as the same happens to me.... HOWEVER, once curvy, always curvy, and yes, your boobs may srink in the beginnging, but as your body and skin adjusts, things should even even out. When I started at MFP I was nursing, and was much larger, and have now settled into what I think is just a fine sized chest!

Don't worry about it - as you can't control it. I worried too as I was losing, but I always thought I would take a smaller chest to have the smaller bottom to go with it!

Plus a more petite chest makes you look slimmer in general!
    Good luck

    Oh, I forgot to add......

Jillian Michaels claims that spot reducing CAN work (although other argue vehemently against this notion) - her claim is that if you do stength training of the lower body, you can re-shape it and reduce it - check out here Shred DVD!
