Weight Training

Hi Guys!
I have FINALLY got down to 10stone, and I am ready to go to the gym and crack on with the weight training to condition the muscles.
I have found someone who said I can train with them 3 mornings a week! The real question, I don't normally eat anything until around 11am, but I think I should probably have something before I do 45mins-1hr of weights.
So...what should this be??

I workout/lift in the morning. I usually have eggs and coffee about an hour to an hour and a half before I go to the gym.0

firstly, Well done for your loss, thats great I would deffinitly eat before weight training to kickstart your ,metabollism and give you energy for your sesh, and also eat within an hour after training for muscle repair and growth, not to mension your body burns it up quicker in that period too, keep it up :-)0

There's nothing wrong with fasted training but if you find that your training suffers due to lack of food, you should of course find something to eat.
I don't have any food suggestions for you as this is largely personal preference, but if you aren't necessarily hungry before training, and if you train successfully without eating beforehand, you can continue to do so and just eat sometime after training.0 -
Hi Tiffany I do early morning workouts too and sometimes I jump up throw my dvd in and go without eating. I eat after and I do fine but im not recommending it. Maybe a bowl of instant oatmeal or a low cal protein shake so your not weighed down with food in your belly.
Good Luck and congrats on your weight loss!!0 -
I almost always have a morning workout before breakfast, just try to eat something good within an hour afterwards so your body doesn't consume muscle for food.0

Thanks! I don't think I could get up at half 5 to eat before the gym at 7am though!!
But thank you everyone for your comments - will definitely eat something to repair muscles after training :-)0
