Hi-
I have been reading a lot on here about the "New Rules of Weight Lifting for Women" and am getting ready to order it for myself. However I would like to get a similar book (or whatever you recommend) as a small gift for my brother. He's a big guy (tall as well as overweight) and has some gym experience but not a lot. I saw on amazon a book I think by the same author that was for men- but there were lots of others. Any suggestions? Thanks!

    "The home workout bible"

It's written by the fitness editor of men's health. It'll be good for him because if he's shy or doesn't want to go to the gym he doesn't have to. Lots of stuff he can do at home. It includes routines for beginners to advanced. The book has a ton of pictures and does a good job of explaining reps, form, and other things newbies don't know about.

    Arnolds book

or the 'New Rules to Lifting' which is the male one, which was written before the 'New Rules of Lifting for women'

(I've read most the womens one so far, just recently, I love it)

Beyond Bodybuilding or Power to the People by Pavel Tsatsouline or Purposeful Primative by Marty Gallagher or Dinosaur Training by Brooks Kubick or.......so many good books out there.
