So I am stumped. Tomorrow I am going to a jewelry party for a friend, I am worried about all the snacks that will be around.....how would I even keep track and log appetizers and snacks? I don't want to completely deprive myself. Any ideas? What do you guys do in situations like that? Thanks!

  • Eat before you go so you're not hungry! That usually helps me. I'll have a protien/fiber packed snack - like wheat bread with peanut butter - to help curb hungry. If I'm not thinking about how hungry I am, I tend not to think about how delicious the food looks (or its easier not to think about it haha).

Take your time and really look at tevery piece of the Jewelry. Talk to everyone. When they ask if they can get you something to drink say I'll take a water and think before you reach for snacks. Moderation. I use a small plate and take 1 small bit of everything and make it last. Don't go back for 2nd's, then I don't feel deprived. Oh and eat healthy before you go.

As everyone has said, eat before you leave :)

ALSO, if you do eat something there, perhaps get your mobile out and quickly log it in a message or something so you don't forget when you get home.

AND take some of your own nibbles there :) You can sit eating yours or something?

I agree with the don't go hungry advice.
My other advice is load up on veggies if they are available. I recently went to a baby shower and people harassed me about not eating so I went and got a plate full of veggies. Even a plate load of them isnt going to make or break your calories for the day.
