Hi all

Just wondering about the exercise log.

When I put in my gym session which includes weights and cardio work it is only the cardio which registers any using up of calories.

I do some pretty hard weights which are definitely calorie burning - is there a way to include this or or does the strength section just remain there as info that doesn't affect your calorie intake?

When you go to log your exercise. Click on "cardio", type in Strength training. You can then stick in the amount of minutes you strength trained for and it will APPROXIMATE you calories.

To get a more accurate calorie burn on strength training, you would need and HRM though.
  • Thanks for the reply.

It appears to estimate a little low, but I really have no way of confirming that. Working my butt off should equal more calories.....lol

Lifting weights simply does not burn as many calories as cardio. But, that does not mean you don't get immense benefit from weight-lifting. More muscles increases your TDEE and lifting weights can strengthen your skeletal system.
