machines you enter your info into

ok i know that the machines you don't enter your personal info into the calories burned are way off!!! usually double what you normally burn are! ( well it was for me ). So now i am wondering... how much more accurate is it with the machines that you enter your personal info into... should i think that it's pretty accurate ?
