Getting more serious about biking

I have been biking since the beginning of last summer and have worked my way from only being able to do 4 miles or about 20 minutes at a speed of 8 mph to being able to do 10-15 miles at a time and going about 12-15 mph for an hour or little more. I would like to add more milage, be able to go for longer, and would eventually like to do a century ride (one of my big goals I want to accomplish besides doing a half marathon and some type of triathlon). I really only bike a couple times a week with those two times usually being on the weekends, but want to commit more time.
Does anybody have any websites that they refer to for bike training or have some books on training that they can recommend or have some leg exercises to help my legs become stronger? I would love any help or recommendations. Thanks ahead of time.
