I have seen many people talk about wearing there hrm all day
is there any purpose for this? is it just a one time thing or daily?

HRMs aren't meant to be worn all day...if you really want to know your calorie expenditure for any given day, a BodyBugg or similar device would be better suited.0

CHECK THIS WEBSITE ! and yes you can wear it all day! AND you with this one you dont have to wear a chest strap all the time the watch top will do the HR measuring. Wear a chest strap for exerciseing if you wish.
