I've got a small 750g gammon joint which I've just found at the back of the fridge. need to cook it today. According to the instructions I just put it in the oven for about one and a half hours and that is it.
I always thought it had to be soaked or boiled for a couple of hours first to get the salt out???
Help please.

I don't think that's as important nowadays, as the curing process involves less salt, but it wouldnt harm. I usually boil my gammon first, then glaze and roast, but only do it on special occasions! If you do that, the water you boil it in makes great soup!
