My "splurge day" was yesterday!

I posted this to my wall here, but I thought it might be good to share!
So yesterday was my "splurge day". Two weeks in here, good losses so far and we went out with friends for all you can eat chinese/japanese. I logged the evening as honestly as possible. Was at about double my daily allotted calories. What is scary, is that in the past, a night like that would have been SO much more. Anyway, that is also where in the past I would have fallen off completely and started gaining weight back. I am staying focused on a few things. It takes 3500 extra calories to gain a pound. I did not even have 3500 cals total, let alone in addition to my bmr, so I did not eat enough to even gain a single pound. I am NOT weighing in until next weekend and WILL NEVER AGAIN weigh in after a splurge because I have learned that initially you can have some water retention from sodium and such that makes it look like you gained when you haven't--and that is a mental game. Not playing those this time around. Weekly weigh ins. That is it. Today is a new day to keep working toward my goal. Today I will be back in my calorie range and when the gym opens at midnight tonight--I will be there.
