Like do you take a pen and paper to the gym and write stuff down that you do? Do you have a journal you keep it in? Use an app?(I have a Kindle Fire, so would have to be Android). I want to keep track since my goal by April 1 is to increase weight by 50% on my workouts, but what is the easiest way to do this?

MFP will allow you to do it, but I have always used old fashioned pen and paper. I have a small spiral notebook I keep as a log.

I have a spreadsheet that I print out with the exercises I intend to do and the last few weeks worth of numbers on it. Then a few blank spots for me to write in the sets, reps, and weights I used this week. Plus a little spot for notes.

I'm liking the spreadsheet idea. That way I can be sure I hit all the exercises I want to do that day and I'm sure to mix them up. Thanks so much! I went on Thursday, and by the time I got home, I couldn't remember what most of the machine's weights were set at!

I make up my own spreadsheet and write down what I do including how I feel and how things went. It's nice to look back and see why I might have missed a few reps or added something.
  • I just remember it off top of my head but Its something I enjoy alot so its easier to remember for me, I dont count reps, I go by the motto, no reps, no sets, train til failure, but thats just the way I train, works best for me, may not for others
