Vegetarian (and gluten free too)?

Are there any others out there that are vegetarian (and eating gluten free would be a bonus as I could really relate to that!) that would like to share their food diaries with me (and I'll do the same?) I'm just new-just started this week and would love to get some other healthy eating ideas... I find that I always end up eating the same things and I'm working to incorporate more veggies etc. I could also use some motivation and knowing that friends are checking in on my diary would certainly help! ;)

I'm vegetarian (but eat eggs & dairy) and have also stopped eating gluten fairly recently (but definitely miss having fake chicken sometimes!!) as it seems to decrease the frequency of my migraines and I'm hoping that it will help my IBS-D - so far it hasn't though. :(

Friend me if you are interested in sharing diaries/motivating each other!

Hey there, I just wanted to suggest a supplement for your IBS called betaine HCL. If you google "low hcl" and read about it, you may find that you do not have enough stomach acid to digest your food. You can get this supplement at GNC or at any health food type of grocery, like Earth Fare or Whole Foods.

I found this out by talking to a homeopathic nutritionist. I was so upset because for 10 years I suffered and took prescription "poison" and not one doctor during this time have suggested this natural way of actually treating my problem.

I first went to GNC and got the one that has 200 mg hcl with the digestive enzymes. After that I went to Earth Fare and got the one that is strictly 500 mg HCL and that one seems to have done the trick. Beware, too much hcl will make your pee high in acid, you will know when this happens. ;)

Good luck and if you try it, let me know how well it works for you.

I'm a vegan, but I do eat gluten.

I'd highly recommend checking out No Meat Athlete's blog.:)

Vegetarian here, minimal dairy (want to get stricter on that - I use soya milk and try avoid butter and cheese as a rule but slip up with 'hidden' dairy), and I try and avoid wheat as it sets off my IBS - although I've been incredibly lax over the past month (and have paid the price :-S )

I am vegetarian and do a few months gluten free a year, but am having a bad patch on that score right now. I just ate pasta for the first time in about 10 months and I know I am going to feel rubbish later but I was so hungry!

I would like some inspiration to cut out wheat again, though I am fine with oats.

On the top under the main tabs, next to the message boards link there's a link for groups. Click that and you can browse and search.
