Well okay, I might not have died.. but I could have been seriously injured.
Driving home from the store on a lovely Sunday afternoon seems pretty safe. Right?
Not so much.
There was a car going about 45 in a 25, ran right through a stop sign.. & if my mom's boyfriend wasn't the one driving, it would have hit us.
He stopped because he saw a hawk.
It scared me senseless. When I was like 11 my dad hit a car & my head went through the windshield.. I have a strong fear of cars. So I'm just freaking out in my head now.

I am glad you are okay. I know how you feel about being freaked out afterwards about it. I was in a car accident in 91 and lost my daughter and was in a wheelchari for 6 months and I still get freaked out in cars.

So glad you're ok! Understandable that you were scared out of your mind! It seems more and more people are driving like that...not even paying attention to what they should be doing. So glad your mom's boyfriend was alert! I hope your mind returns to peaceful thoughts and you find calm security again. All this aside, having survived such dangerous incidents, does it get you thinking that perhaps you have a special mission to accomplish in your life! That's a positive direction to take your thoughts in! Good luck and be safe! :D

I know the fear. WhenI was 17 I was in a car accident where I rolled my car 3 times. It was an accident that should have seriously injured me, if not killed me considering it was a really compact car. However, by the Grace of God, I was wearing my seat belt and that saved me. The worse injury I got in that accident was a minor concussion. Thank God for small favors.

Glad to hear you're all right.

It really just assures me that God has bigger plans for me than anything I've done yet (:
    That makes me happy.
