I was soooo happy last weekend when I weighed myself and FINALLY saw the beginning of the 120's!

Today I had a 4:30 pm Dr. appointment where they insist on weighing you with all your clothes on... (ok... I talked them into letting me take my shoes off...lol) But I weighed 135? or 133? I don't know.. all I heard and saw was the weight resting somewhere solidly in the 130s and I heard static. :frown:

I had to try to rationalize with myself... PM! & ALL of My Clothes & ??? HELP ME OUT HERE.... (fill in the blank) I"M DESPERATE

Yes, of course it was the clothes + what you had to eat and drink!! LOL! I think you're fine!!

I hate weighing at the doctors office with clothes on and being pregnant, that happens often and you are supposed to gain!! :grumble:

I work in medical records and the other day while visiting another hospital's medical records one of the gals announces in an incredulous tone... this gal only gained 9 lbs with this pregnancy... I asked what did the baby weigh.. and it was something like 7 lbs... Now I've never have been pregnant but even I thought that was crazy.

No doubt!!! What everyone else said. I never weigh myself in the PM for that very reason.

Trust your own personal scale in the AM and don't be disheartened sweetie.:flowerforyou:

I can actually gain 8 lbs from AM to PM by all the liquid I take in. That not even counting my clothes.

Hey, the same thing happened to me recently and I felt soooo bad. I have just reached 151 and had to weigh in at the doctors the next day (with a full bladder for a urine sample). The nurse asked me if I knew about how much I weigh as she slid the little slidey thingy over. I said,"oh probably about 155 with my clothes on" and whammo! The scale read 161! :noway:

Since then, I've been trying to get rid of that horrible feeling but I guess it just takes time.:ohwell:

I gained 13 pounds with my last child, one of two that weren't multiples, and she was 10lbs 14 oz, but I was sick as a dog the entire pregnancy....no fun, I actually left the ward weighing less then I did before I got pregnant.

Only when I forget to unload them once I steal them from the 7/11.:embarassed:

*note to self - never steal beer right before you are going to weigh in at the docs. Or else....remember to leave them in the truck. :smokin:

You're fine! I always weigh more at night than I do first thing in the morning. Keep thinking about all the weight that you have already lost and smile about that!

I always weigh in the a.m as well, even when i was preggo i would weigh when i got up and then would shower and go to my Dr. appt and they would weigh me with my clothes on and thier scale was ALWAYS about 5 lbs more than mine. i just always went by my scale and never let it bother me.

I only gained 17.4 lbs with my last pregnacy and he was healthy and fine and is now 11 months old today and a little piggy man!! LOL I never gaine much with any of my pregnancies for some resaon, just my body i guess, not like i didn't eat either and i had a desk job too.

Numbers are just that - NUMBERS. Do you like how much better you look and feel? Weight can fluctuate over a ten-pound range, and food plus clothes certainly helps. Don't pay any attention to the number on the scale - pay attention to how you FEEL.

I hate weighin in the afternoon and I def hate weighing in clothes. I just weighed in wearing jeans at my doctors office and afterwards they put me in a gown I was like why couldn't they weigh me after I put the this paper thin gown on. :ohwell:

As far as pregnancy gain my first one I gained 30lbs and my second I gained 12lbs but I had extra padding to begin with so I was glad with that 12lbs not to mention i didn't eat like I was eating for 2. and she had me sick like I was possessed

when the trainer weighed me in at the gym at 5 pm, I told her I didnt want to hear the number.

she said.............that is all it is is a number.

what is important is your fitness level and how you feel!

You look great and are doing a wonderful job!!:flowerforyou:

I truly wish I coujld wave a magic wand and remove all concerns about that meaningless number on the scale....as said here, fitness level and how you feel are more positive and more helpful focus points....
