General nutrition question.

I know what MFP sets up for nutrition (fat, carbs, sugars, etc.) is kind of generic. I was wondering if any of you changed certain aspects, and what your goals are. I currently weigh 155, would like to lose a little more then maintain and work on gaining muscle, losing fat. My daily intake now is 1770. I try to get more protein (at least 100 a day), but am usually over on carbs and sugars. Any suggestions are appreciated.

I usually just focus on getting my protein and fiber in. I don't pay too much attention to sugars because a lot of mine come from fruit and milk...I guess just decide what is the most important to you and if you have certain health conditions then you need to focus on those.0

It's difficult to answer this without seeing your diary. If you are staying away from processed carbs and sugars then don't stress too bad0 -
I eat too much fast food and processed foods. I am working on it, just a slow process, I'll open my diary.0

You are correct about the processed foods. Getting double the daily sodium recommendation is seriously slowing down your progress. Here are a few changes you can make:
No more V-8 fusion - too much sugar and sodium and not that great for you. What to have instead: light juice cut half and half with water or fresh squeezed juice cut with water.
No more canned veggies - too much sodium, and canning leeches out the nutrient. Use frozen or fresh instead.
Try and prepare meals ahead of time so you don't get into the convenience meal trap. Try making your own pizzas - far tastier and you can control the ingredients.
Eat more veggies...they fill you up without filling your calorie bucket. They are good for you too, so big bonus there.
MORE WATER! if you have to, infuse it with fruit or add crystal light.
From what I can see you are eating in "maitenence mode", which in my mind is eating enough calories so you don't gain, but you aren't losing either.
I hope this helps!
