I like SBF 2: Reboot Boogaloo, but we can leave off the Boogaloo as well.
Thursday I had to go to Fort Worth. My sister was in the hospital. She had a bad medication reaction and had a seizure in class. She's fine and back home (my parent's house) for Spring Break. I didn't get any exercise either Thursday or Friday.
I'm looking forward to yoga today. I even had a dream about doing yoga last night. I'll try to get some sort of cardio in as well.
Happy workouts y'all,
Mary

I'm returning to the outside world today! Hooray!
Although, being cooped up in my house since Tuesday a.m. I have:
completely cleaned my kitchen, including de-cluttering the cabinets (I filled my recycling bin and my neighbors with random plastic containers)
did the same thing in my bathroom
and cleaned my closet, producing six shopping bags full of stuff I have no idea why I was keeping
organized my jewelry (i have a pretty good collection, as I used to work at an "art jewelry" store and people gave me their stuff for free just because I liked it. Artists are nice. Also, my husband is nice. Also, ocassionally, I am nice to myself. I like jewels. Also, I dress in black t-shirts 97% of the time, so I accesorize. OK, I'm done rationalizing my jewels.)
worked for nine hours total on my project, one hour over my goal.
I have discovered that I like to be an active individual. There were a few times where I had to stop mid-chore because I was sick, but it feels nice to have all those projects finished. Amazing what my body was doing. "hey. . .person. . .move!" (that was my body talking.)
It also feels nice to be back to mostly normal. Mostly. The rash is working its way down (as it is apparently wont to do.) But, my face is presentable to the world (I look a tad flushed and puffy still, but my makeup skills are strong due to my youth as a performer.)
And, today I'm doing a light yoga for flexibility workout at home. Tomorrow, if I still feel this good. . .I'm trying a cardio session at the gym. Hooray! Workouts!
Yeesh, what a lot of typing (I'm wordy today.)
Take care of yourselves.
SBF2: Reboot it is. (although I will think boogaloo. . .because it is hilarious to me.)

Mary, I hope your sister is on the mend. I was wondering where you were yesterday.:flowerforyou:

Thanks - it was definitely scary on Thursday. I'm so looking forward to my yoga week...0 -
Mary, I'm sorry to hear your sis went to the hospital but I am glad she seems better and is back at home!
V, it sounded like you were very productive last week! You were sick and you still did more than I did!
I am starting to dislike Saturdays. DH and I tend to get in arguments on Saturdays. We used to do that a lot, then it got better. Now it's over Alex when he barges into our room at 7 in the morning. Sorry. Personal rant.
I am about to do my push ups test. I need to do some cleaning up. And then I am going to try to do Shred this afternoon when Alex is napping. Or I may do it this morning. I was going to go out this morning but I don't need to, so motivation is low. DH is gone to a meeting until about 3.
I am trying to psyche myself up about starting my goals on Monday. Again, not motivated. I think I am stressed. I am stressed about the adoption process. It's time to commit and I am scared and don't want to. I am scared about overseas travel. I've only been to Hawaii and other mainland states. I'm a home body and like to keep my body close to home. DH is a traveler. I worry about Alex and leaving him behind for the first trip since I've never been away from him more than 2 1/2 days. I think the stress is making me depressed.
I definitely need to work out. I bet that will help. I sure hope I get plenty of push ups in. I've been doing this for six months and still haven't reached 100. It's a little discouraging. I'll keep going till I finish.
I really didn't mean to chat so much about my personal issues. lol. Thanks for listening anyway.

Okay, I did my push ups. I also recorded them because I wanted to check my form and see how low I am going. I am doing neither very well. :grumble: Needless to say I deleted the video after watching it. I did manage to get 93 though! I was 7 away! I felt my back giving out though. I will be doing the program over again and going lower. Only 7 more! I wished I could have stuck it out and finished but there was no way. I would have hurt something. There's always next time.

Probably means your abs aren't coming in to support your lower back. If it was your upper back, that's ok.0 -

Yes, MM. . .but I don't have a kid. I'm always amazed that mothers do anything. Ever. So, you're still my superhero.
And, somedays I feel like all I do is talk about personal issues. . .so I'm glad to listen. While I'm at it, thanks for listening to me, too.:flowerforyou:0 -
Aw, thanks, V. I'm so thankful for my pebbles. Have I said that recently?
Mary, that's exactly what it is. I am not strong in my abs and my poor son is the same way. Well...my hubby's not either. lol. I could have made that hundred if my abs were stronger.
I did manage to Shred this morning! I get tired of the Shred but it does make me sweat and it's short! Now if I can just remember this good feeling after working out for the next time I need to do it!
I am also logging my foods today. I figure I need to start now to get me going for the challenge on Monday. There are going to be days that I don't want to do it but I am going to do my best! I hope I didn't set my goals too high. I just know that they will help me get in shape and feel better if I just do them. So there's the stronger and better. I guess the faster follows that.

I just made it in time to say... Happy Pi Day!
Mary, I was wondering where you were the other day, too. That does sound scary about your sister - I'm glad that she's doing better now. V, you amaze me. And MM - 93 pushups?!?! You blow me away!
I had a fabulously productive day. We did our taxes, spent some time with the MIL, and did a bunch of cleaning and house-related things. Oh yeah, and we celebrated Valentines Day a month late since I had to skip it last month. No exercise to speak of except for my pushups, which I just finished. 208 in all.
Tomorrow I will finally settle on my goals. The other thing I have to take into consideration is that I'll be doing a challenge at work for April and May where we try to get in 10,000 steps and 5 cups of fruits and veggies every day. Mary, I know you get like 30,000 steps every day, but unless I specifically go to the gym for cardio I am lucky to get 5000. So I'd like to add more strength training, but I'm not sure if I want to increase the overall amount of time I spend exercising. Decisions, decisions!
I wonder how WanderingLight is doing?0 -
Spent the better part of the day doing chores and then went out with DH to tap maple trees. Not many, just enough to make syrup for ourselves and our daughters. Beautiful day out, sunny and gorgeous and I spent lots of time tromping up and down hills.
Everyone looks really busy tooHave a nice weekend everyone.
