Do you still eat biscuits/cookies?

Hi all,
Just curious: do you still eat biscuits (cookies for Americans).
We have biscuits at work and I tend to allow myself 1 each day. It fits in my calorie intake (I make it fit), but I know it's not a healthy way of filling up my cals.

I very rarely eat them. I had the first cookie in months yesterday (I usually choose other sweets if I'm willing to spare the calories). If you're willing to fit it in your limit I see no problem with it. As long as its not a cookie with like a 6 inch diameter.0

Yes, but I don't tend to buy them at home (less temptation!)
I only eat them if I am out at training or visiting.
I don't think there is any harm in a biscuit now and again - but instead of making it every day, what about bringing another snack to have at that time in place of the biccie?0 -
Everyday, or else I'll go into withdrawal and get *****y and vindictive.0

sometimes.... but I try to stay away from them ..... Girl scout cookies are my weakness.0

I'm incapable of eating a moderate portion of cookies. So if I'm trying to be healthy at all, no I don't eat them!0

I agree. Girl Scout sales start this weekend in my area, and both of my daughters are selling. I know that I am going to buy from them to support the sales, but that is going to be super, super tempting! I usually keep them in the freezer & try to ration them out.0 -

Yup, why not? As far as I see it, MFP doesn't mean outlawing some foods, it just means generally making better choices and keeping under the calorie limit.
Two plain biscuits (cookies) are about the same calories as a healthy muesli (granola) bar. Many muesli bars are incredibly high in fat and sugar etc so they're not automatically better for you, even though they might have claimed of healthiness all over the wrapping.
Filling snacks at work for me are: a lowish calorie muesli bar, a lite yoghurt, a piece of fruit, sometimes a nut mix (although they're very high calorie, they're also filling), individual little bags of rice snacks or bagel crisps. At home I snack on hummas and rice crackers if I'm hungry before dinner.0 -
Stopped eating biscuits over 20 years ago when I gave up sugar and cakes. Might have a bite of either - yes, I sample other people's food - once or twice a year.0

There is nothing wrong with eating it in moderations. But do try to subsitute it for something else lower in calories. Consider it a treat when you have something to celebrate like sticking to daily dairy entry.0

I do reward myself every day--with a Peppermint Patty--but as a rule don't keep yummy cookies in the house. The rule-breaker: tiny triple ginger snaps. They pack a big taste with just a small bite and are very satisfying. Just what I need when I start eyeing the recipe shelf!0

At the moment I have one or two a day - I never buy them myself and when my dad died and there was a whole heap in his pantry so I brought them home - I can't stand waste of food lol (to the point I feel sick today cos I have eaten something off last night LOL) - anyways, once they have gone I will only ever eat my own that I make because I just don't trust what they put in things these days - so it is not because of the calories for me but the lack of quality.0

I eat cookies when I drink tea at night. Don't deprive but don't indulge either.0

Nothing too sweet, just mcvities rich tea biscuit....in moderation! I try to have an apple with peanut butter instead, or hummus and carrot if I want savoury and if I'm at home or prepared it in advance at work. Yes, much more calories and higher in fat but it's because I'm trying to reduce my carb intake!0

You're doing it right. It's something you want, enjoy and you work it into your day0
